SEO / AEO Executive
Experience : Internship to 3 years
Location : Ahmedabad
Search is changing. People increasingly ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews instead of scanning ten blue links - and getting cited by those systems needs different work from traditional SEO. We do both. You'll work on classic technical and on-page SEO, and on Answer Engine Optimisation: structuring content so AI systems can extract, understand and cite it.
What you'll do:
- Run technical SEO audits and turn findings into prioritised fixes
- Do keyword research and map terms to pages without cannibalisation
- Optimise titles, meta descriptions, headings and on-page content
- Implement and validate structured data - Organization, Service, FAQPage, Article, BreadcrumbList
- Work on AEO: answer-first content structure, FAQ blocks, llms.txt, entity consistency
- Track how our clients and our own site appear in AI answers, and adjust
- Build and monitor internal linking
- Report on Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and analytics
- Off-page work: directories, profiles, outreach, digital PR
Looking for:
- Understanding of how search engines crawl, index and rank
- Familiarity with Search Console and at least one of Ahrefs, Semrush or similar
- Clear written English - a lot of this job is writing
- Genuine curiosity about AI search; this field is changing fast and you'll need to keep up
- Comfort with data, and honesty about what it does and doesn't show
Good to have:
- Basic HTML and understanding of how pages are built
- Experience with schema markup
- Content writing experience
- Any exposure to AEO or GEO work
For interns:
You don't need agency experience. If you've optimised your own site or blog and can explain what you did and what happened, that's a strong start.
