What is included in a UX audit?

How much does a UX audit cost?

It depends on the size of the product, how many journeys are in scope, whether usability testing with participants is included and how deep the accessibility review goes. We quote a fixed price after a short call.

How long does a UX audit take?

Shorter than it used to. AI reads recordings and tickets in hours, so the expert review and user sessions set the pace rather than the analysis. We confirm the timeline after discovery.

What is the difference between UX research and a UX audit?

A UX audit evaluates an existing product against principles and data to find problems. UX research asks users directly, through interviews, surveys and tests, to understand needs and behavior. Most engagements combine both.

Do you use AI instead of real users?

No. AI helps us analyze what real users already did and sharpen the questions before a session. Decisions still rest on real participants and senior researchers. Synthetic research is a pre-test, never a substitute.

How is this about 5x faster than a traditional agency?

Four things add up: several AI-drafted options at once instead of one at a time, generated boilerplate and tests instead of hand-written setup, reusable component libraries instead of page-by-page builds, and automated checks on every change instead of a manual pass at the end. Review time stays the same; waiting time disappears.

Is AI-assisted work good enough, and is it safe?

AI never ships anything on its own. A senior lead reviews every design and every code change, automated tests and accessibility checks run on each one, and the code is plain TypeScript in your own repository. We do not send your customer data to AI tools without a written agreement.

Who owns the code, the design files and the accounts?

You do, from the first week. Figma, GitHub, CMS and hosting accounts are created under your company, and the contract assigns the IP to you. There is nothing to hand back at the end because it was always yours.

How do you charge: fixed price, monthly retainer or dedicated team?

All three, depending on the shape of the work. A fixed price when the scope is clear, a monthly retainer when the work keeps evolving, and a dedicated designer or engineer pair when you want capacity inside your own team. We recommend one after a short discovery call.

Do you work with companies in the US, UK, Canada or Australia?

Yes, most of our clients are there. Devoq Design has teams in India, Canada and the US, so every project has overlapping hours for reviews and stand-ups. Everything else runs async with recorded walkthroughs, decision logs and written updates in your Slack or Teams.
