What does the AI Visibility Checker measure?

It reads your robots.txt the way AI crawlers do (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Bingbot and Common Crawl), checks your page for indexability and structured data, and probes llms.txt and sitemap.xml. Every result shows the exact rule or tag it was measured from.

Why does being blocked matter?

An AI system that cannot fetch your pages cannot cite them. If ChatGPT or Perplexity users ask about your category and your site is blocked or unreadable, the answer quotes a competitor instead.

Does allowing AI crawlers hurt my SEO?

No. AI crawler rules in robots.txt are separate from Googlebot and Bingbot rules. You can allow, block or mix per crawler; this tool simply shows you what your current file actually says.
